Planting flowers, such as marigolds, calendula, sunflower, daisy, alyssum, or dill nearby can attract beneficial insects that attack and kill cabbage loopers and cabbage butterflies. Diatomaceous earth seems to help a little. The most popular one I see it the Green Garden Looper. We have many problematic moths and such that create these monsters. Small green caterpillars are a very common problem in CA it seems. The new growth turns white, then the leaves fall off. It has Dead leaf tips and also leaf edges. I must find these and kill them, before they get on my MJ plants, if they already aren't tere. ![]() These critters are all on the morning glories that I have hiding the MJ plants.
